Print Design
Design is half of printing. The other half is handing the printer a file that will not surprise anyone.

Printed pieces fail for boring reasons: art built in the wrong color mode, no bleed, images at screen resolution, type too close to the trim, a fold that lands in the middle of a sentence. We design the piece and then prepare it properly for the press it is going on.
We work with the printers and mail houses you already use, or recommend one that suits the run length, stock and finish you want.
What we make
01Brochures
Tri-fold, bi-fold, gate-fold and saddle-stitched booklets with imposition planned from the start.
02Business cards
Standard, thick stock, spot finishes and multi-person card sets kept consistent.
03Flyers
Single sheets designed to still be readable pinned to a bulletin board across a room.
04Direct mail
Postcards and self-mailers built to postal panel requirements and address-block rules.
05Posters
Small format through large wall posters with resolution planned for the final size.
06Forms
Intake forms, work orders and carbonless sets designed to be filled in by hand without cramping.
07Marketing collateral
Sell sheets, inserts, price lists and leave-behinds as a coordinated set.
08Event materials
Programs, name badges, table tents, signage and handouts for one deadline.
09Presentation folders
Folder design with pocket, slit and business-card placement specified.
10Everything else printed
Envelopes, letterhead, labels, door hangers, menus, rack cards and NCR sets.
Press preparation
- CMYK conversion with spot colors identified
- Bleed, trim and safe margins applied
- 300 dpi imagery at final size
- Fonts outlined or embedded
- Folds, scores and die lines marked
- Press-ready PDF plus a proof for approval
Before it goes out
- Proofread by a second person
- Phone numbers and addresses verified
- QR codes tested against the live page
- Quantity and stock confirmed with the printer
- Mail piece checked against postal requirements
- Archived so a reprint is a reorder, not a redesign
Do you print in house?
No. We design and prepare files, then coordinate with commercial printers. That keeps you free to use a printer you like, and keeps our advice about stock and finish honest.
Can you match our website colors in print?
Closely, within what ink on paper can do. We specify print equivalents so the difference is deliberate rather than accidental.
Can you update a piece someone else designed?
If usable source files exist, usually. If only a PDF exists, rebuilding is often faster than fighting it.
