Your Complete Business Phone System, for One Predictable Monthly Price
Mayer Networks provides the complete business phone system as a managed service: the calling, the phones, the hosting, the licensing, the design, the installation, the training and the ongoing support, from one local company on one monthly invoice. We design the system around how your organization actually answers the phone, we manage the network the calls depend on, and you choose between the two platforms we support, 3CX and Yeastar.

Get a Phone System QuoteWhy businesses switch
Eight reasons organizations replace the phone system they have
Replace aging phone hardware
Stop putting money into a PBX that gets harder to support and harder to find parts for every year.
Simplify monthly costs
Consolidate carrier lines, maintenance agreements, licensing and separate conferencing into one service.
Work from anywhere
Take business calls at the office, at home, on a laptop or on a phone in the field, on one extension.
Connect multiple locations
Run separate offices as one phone system with one extension plan and transfers between buildings.
Keep existing numbers
Modernize the system behind your published numbers without asking customers to learn new ones.
Improve call handling
Auto attendants, queues, hours and holiday routing, voicemail to email and reporting, configured for how you work.
Get local support
The same Southern Illinois team that supports the rest of your technology supports the phones.
End vendor finger-pointing
Phones, firewall, switching and internet coordination handled by one company instead of three.

Designed Around How Your Organization Actually Answers the Phone
Anybody can ship boxes. The difference between a phone system that works and one that annoys everyone is the design conversation that happens before installation. We sit down with the people who answer your phones and build the system around what they actually do all day, rather than deploying a generic template and leaving you to live with it.
Receptionist workflows
Who answers the main line, what they can see about the rest of the building, and how they hand a caller off without losing them.
Department routing
Billing, service, scheduling and sales each reach the right group of people instead of one shared voicemail box.
Business hours and after hours
Open, closed, lunch and early-close behavior defined per department, not one greeting for the whole company.
Holiday schedules
Holidays are loaded ahead of time so nobody has to remember to change a greeting the night before.
Call queues
Departments where callers genuinely wait get a queue with defined hold behavior and an overflow destination.
Auto attendants
Menus short enough that a caller reaches a person, with a path out for anyone who does not want a menu at all.
Remote employees and mobile users
Staff away from a desk keep their extension and their business caller ID without publishing a personal number.
Multiple locations
One extension plan across buildings, shared reception coverage, and each site keeping its own published numbers.
Emergency routing
Emergency dialing behavior and per-location registered addresses are confirmed as part of the build, not afterward.
Toll-free numbers
Toll-free numbers ported or provisioned and pointed at the right entry point in your call flow.
Department-specific requirements
Paging, dispatch, on-call rotations, shared lines, fax and any analog device the operation still depends on.
We Host It. We Deploy It. We Train Your Team. We Support It.

We host it
The platform runs in our Carbondale private cloud. It is infrastructure we own and operate, hosted, administered and supported by Mayer Networks.

We deploy it
Porting, provisioning, installation, call-flow build and testing, scheduled around your business rather than ours.

We train your team
Staff training for the everyday things, and administrator training for whoever wants to make their own changes.

We support it
Day-to-day support, moves, adds, changes, new hires, new departments and new locations, handled by the same team.
We manage the phone system and the network it depends on
Most phone problems are not phone problems. They are internet problems, switch problems, firewall problems or power problems. When those belong to three different companies, you spend your morning on hold while each one explains that it is somebody else's fault.
With Mayer Networks there is one number to call. We already manage the network, so we do not have to ask permission to go look at it.
- No handoff between the phone company and your IT provider
- No waiting for a carrier ticket before anyone investigates
- Voice traffic prioritized on network equipment we configured
- One team accountable for how your calls sound
One team responsible
Your phone company should understand your network
Almost every call-quality complaint is really a question about where the problem lives. Is it the handset, the switch, the firewall, the Wi-Fi, the internet circuit or the phone platform? When those pieces belong to three different companies, that question turns into a week of transferred calls and each vendor telling you to talk to the other one.
Mayer Networks manages the phone system and the technology it depends on. One call, one team, one company that can look at the whole path from the person on the phone to the circuit leaving the building.
What we manage underneath the call
- Internet connectivity
- Firewall
- Switching and PoE
- QoS where appropriate
- Wi-Fi
- Desk phones and headsets
- Softphones and mobile apps
- The phone platform itself
No finger-pointing between the phone vendor, the ISP and the IT company, because they are the same relationship.
Your Phone Company, Not a Reseller
Mayer Networks has operated as a registered telecommunications provider for more than a decade. We do not simply resell another company's phone service and put our name on the invoice. We design the solution, host the platform, manage the infrastructure, deploy the phones and support the system ourselves. When you call Mayer Networks about your phone service, you are talking to the company actually responsible for delivering it.
- Registered telecommunications provider
Mayer Networks has operated as a registered telecommunications provider for more than a decade, delivering business communications throughout Southern Illinois and the surrounding region.
- We are the provider
Your phone service is provided and supported by Mayer Networks. We are not simply reselling another IT company's or telephone carrier's managed VoIP product.
- Designed by our team
Our engineers design the call flow, extensions, routing, auto attendants, integrations and overall communications environment around the way your organization actually works.
- Hosted on our infrastructure
Where appropriate, Mayer Networks hosts the phone platform on infrastructure we operate in our Carbondale datacenter, giving us direct control over the systems supporting your service.
- Installed and supported by us
Our team handles deployment, installation, configuration, training, troubleshooting and ongoing support. Clients do not get passed between an MSP, a carrier and a third-party phone vendor when something goes wrong.
- One company accountable
The network, cybersecurity, internet connectivity and phone system often depend on one another. For many clients, Mayer Networks manages the entire environment, eliminating finger-pointing between multiple vendors.

Choose the Platform That Fits Your Organization
Mayer Networks supports both 3CX and Yeastar. You can choose either one. Most organizations would rather have the differences explained than pick from a datasheet, so we walk through how each platform behaves for your call flows, your device mix and your locations, and then we build it. Neither platform is better in every situation.

How we help you decide
- Organization size and number of locations
- Call-flow complexity: reception, queues, hours and overflow
- Mobile and desktop requirements for staff away from a desk
- Conferencing and collaboration needs
- Reporting expectations
- Integrations with the applications you already run
- Analog equipment that has to keep working, such as paging, door phones and elevator lines
- Long-term supportability and budget
Reliable Calls Start With the Network
A VoIP system rides on your internet connection and your local network. If that network is overloaded, poorly configured or unreliable, calls sound bad no matter which phone system you bought. That is why Mayer Networks manages both the phone system and the network underneath it.
When something sounds wrong, you make one call. There is no finger-pointing between a phone vendor, an internet provider and an IT company, because the same team is responsible for the switches, the firewall, the internet coordination and the phones.
- Voice traffic prioritized on the network we manage
- Switching, cabling and power reviewed before handsets arrive
- A defined plan for what happens to calls if a site loses internet
- One team accountable for call quality end to end
Keep Your Numbers. We Handle the Transition.
Your published numbers come with you. Mayer Networks handles the porting request and carrier coordination, provisions and labels the phones, builds your call flow, tests it, schedules the cutover around your business, trains staff and stays with you afterward as things need adjusting.
Switching phone systems is a project most organizations do once a decade. It is one we run regularly.
- Number porting and carrier coordination
- Phone provisioning and staging
- Call-flow design and testing
- Cutover scheduling and coordination
- Staff and administrator training
- Support and changes after go-live
How a phone cutover runs
Step 1
Assess
Existing numbers, call flow, handsets, internet capacity, firewall and cabling are reviewed before anything is quoted.
Step 2
Design
Call routing, hours, queues, voicemail and failover behavior are designed with the people who answer the phones.
Step 3
Deploy
Porting, installation, testing and training, with the network prepared for voice traffic.
Step 4
Support
Ongoing changes as staff and departments change, handled by the same team that manages your network.

Dave? Boss? Nice suggestion on VoIP phones from Mayer Networks. Seems like a fit. How much? About half our current bill. So about 50% less? 50% is half, yes. You stand behind the 50% less thing? 110%, boss.
What percentage of our current features would we have with Mayer? Technically more than 100%, for 50% less. So Mayer gives us 100% for 50% less? Yeah. Conferencing? Voice and video, built in. Voicemail? Yep, even voicemail to email. Unlimited calling? Local and long distance. Phone apps? All of them. Phones? Free. Support and setup? Included.
Still 50% less? Still 50% less. How sure? 100%. You mean 50%? No, I'm 100% sure it's more than 100% of our current features for 50% less. Sounds clear to me. Good work, Dave.
Need a better phone system? Voice over IP phone service from Mayer Networks is your answer. Phones are included. Setup is free. What do you have to lose?
Features, included hardware and pricing shown in this commercial depend on the plan and agreement selected. Unlimited local and long-distance calling applies to normal business use on eligible domestic number types, and included phones depend on the current offer, quantity and term. Ask us what applies to your quote.
Why Mayer Networks
- The phone system and the network it depends on are managed by one team
- Platform chosen to fit the organization rather than a single product we always sell
- Local deployment, training and support
- One organization accountable for support, engineering, security, infrastructure and communications.
Security considerations
- Voice traffic segmented from data networks
- Firewall configuration handled deliberately rather than by opening broad access
- Toll fraud protections configured
- E911 addresses verified per location
What is included in the Mayer Networks phone package?
As applicable to your agreement and the platform selected, the system typically includes unlimited local, long-distance and inbound toll-free calling, business desk phones and required VoIP hardware, fax devices or adapters where needed, hosting, platform licensing, number porting, deployment, configuration, call-flow design, training, mobile and desktop applications, auto attendants, call queues, voicemail, reporting, multi-location and remote-user support, and ongoing support and administration.
How is it priced?
As one predictable monthly price for the complete system rather than a base rate plus a list of per-feature charges. What that price is depends on your locations, users, calling requirements and the platform selected, so we scope it and quote it in writing rather than publishing figures that would not apply to you.
Do we choose 3CX or Yeastar?
You choose. Mayer Networks supports both, and neither one is better in every situation. We explain the differences for your call flows, device mix, locations and hosting preference, and then we build whichever you decide on.
Can we keep our phone numbers?
Yes. Numbers are normally ported from your existing carrier, and we keep the old system live until inbound calls are confirmed arriving on the new one.
Can employees use their business extension on mobile devices?
Yes. Mobile and desktop applications let staff place and receive business calls with the business caller ID, without publishing personal cell numbers.
Can multiple offices use one phone system?
Yes. One extension plan, transfers between buildings, shared reception coverage and central administration, while each location keeps its own published numbers and registered emergency address.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Failover is designed in advance rather than discovered during an outage, typically by routing inbound calls to mobile numbers or another site, or by adding a secondary connection where the site can justify it.
Do we need new phones?
Not always. Many staff use only a desktop or mobile application, and existing handsets can sometimes be reused. We verify what can be kept before anyone buys new hardware.
Can Mayer Networks manage the network too?
Yes, and for most clients we already do. Call quality depends on the switching, firewall and internet connection as much as the phone platform, so the same team is responsible for both.
Do you support 3CX and Yeastar?
Yes. Mayer Networks supports and deploys both, and selects the platform based on your users, locations, call flows, integrations and infrastructure rather than pushing every organization onto the same system.
How difficult is switching from our current phone system?
It is a project most organizations do once a decade and one we run regularly. We handle porting, provisioning, call-flow design, testing, cutover scheduling, training and post-cutover changes.
